Best Racing Game of 2012-Game Pandemic

Whether you like your racing whimsical or action-filled, there was alot to choose from in 2012. Although the racing genre lacked the originality of 2011 original IPs such as "Split Second" or "Blur": the franchises that've become synonymous with racing surely did not disappoint. Here are the nominees for the best racing game of 2012!

Forza series was good, didn't care for the latest one. I wish THQ did a 3rd Juiced game, they were like NFS Underground 1-2 and Pro Street mixed together. you had a good amount of custom parts, a easy and fun custom decal editor. Then the Pink Slip races were good as well along with creating a Driving team and then assigning them their cars from your garage. Also the drifting was fun mainly when doing multiple people on courses.

Would of taken a third Juiced title over another NFS Underground, or Midnight Club mainly since BlackBox is gone, and L.A was such a horrible game from the very weak car list, ugrade choices, the decals, the kit/exterior choices. Also I cannot stand the Criterion.

Criterion is doing all the NFS games from here on out, and I feel they are going to have a burnout feel which is what NFS is not. So until they show they can do a car game and break away from that then well in my book NFS is dead. (Forza Horizon was very Burn Out which maybe why I didn't dig it.) I hope that was just a one off.

Hate to say it but I would have put Sonic over LittleBigPlanet Karting. I have both but Sonic just did everything so great and beautifully done. While I am miffed about a few characters not being their the overall sensation of the races made up for it. Can't say much about the others really as I never played them.

Very simple.........

Project C.A.R.S. (Community Assisted Racing Simulator) even in it's playable Alpha stage it's beyond gorgeous and simply better than everything else in 2012.....Also Project Cars has the Best first person crash physics EVER!

actual gameplay footage of course!

Arcade games always win agains't simulators. Simply because games are made for FUN.

I put Need for Speed Most Wanted as the best racing game of the, Forza didn't deliver this year.

Couldn't agree more, I'm going to be all over the Wii U version of that like a bad rash (hopefully).

This game was awesome! I remember reloading my save if I didn’t get the pink slip from my blacklist rival

Literally the only XBox exclusive that I still regularly play. I'm glad I had bought FH3 (PC) when I did, but this really sucks for other people who never picked it up. I still love the Australian Outback setting most of all.
