DLC: You Want How Much? And for What?

DLC. Downloadable Content. It’s the demon we’ve all let into our lives and infect our consoles. We’ve come to accept that if we want to experience the full game, we will have to pay extra than the standard price for games. This is both a blessing and a curse, because if we get DLC such as the recent Dragonborn content for Skyrim, or before that The Shivering Isles for Oblivion, we get so much more from the game. Then we have the random DLC such as extra weapons or maps for FPS games

I think if devs and pubs want to combat 2nd hand game trading a bit they should announce a good FREE DLC from day one, this might encourage people to hold onto games a bit longer before trading in, once that is released they can start thinking about charging people for extra content.

The funny things is Dead Or Alive 2 Ultimate had just as much (or more) for free on disc. Tecmo is just trying to be greedy instead of focusing on the issues that the game itself has.

My input in the DLC argument is, make a great game and people won't trade it in, it's that simple.
