‘Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition’ Review | StickSkills

StickSkills said, "Baldur’s Gate is a fantastic game. That’s pretty much a known quantity. Back in the late 1990s, a smorgasbord of RPGs were released using the Infinity Engine, including the Icewind Dale series and Planescape Torment. They all had similar gameplay, offering the closest example of Dungeons and Dragons in a video game form. That quality of the game isn’t in question. Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, brought to us from the folks at Overhaul Games, looks to release the game again, mostly in its original form. The only question is, do the new characters, and the addition of the Black Pit, warrant the $19.99 price tag? The answer is a bit complicated." (Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, iPad, PC) 3.5/5

if you have a copy of the game and BGII, then you don't need this. Just go download BGTUTU, which will alter BG1 to use BG2 engine, then go to the Gibberlins 3 to get the screen mod. I've been playing Baldurs gate on 1920x1200 resolution for several years, with bug fixes, added NPC's, etc...

I'm actually really enjoying this on the iPad and I've never been able to get into these kinds of games. I just never liked the constant hunched over at my PC clicking my mouse in the corner of the screen gameplay but it feels really nice with the touch screen, just being able to curl up in bed and do a half hour or so of adventuring before sleep.

PS. Relax, I'm not saying the PC isn't good for gaming on. I'm sure your PC is set up in such a way that you can sit comfortably for hours on end and I'm sure the mods make it better than the version I'm playing. Just saying, for me, I enjoy holding the thing on my chest like a book and tapping away.
