IGN-Miner Wars 2081 Review

IGN:I really wanted to love Miner Wars. Outer space and sandboxy exploration are the sorts of things that make me go all starry eyed, but the game only served to yank my expectations back down to Earth. Somewhere inside Miner Wars 2081 is an incredibly ambitious, frighteningly absorbing space game. As is, however, Keen Software's long-in-the-making opus feels like a half-complete realization of that vision. Maybe it'll eventually evolve into something truly special, but for now, it's hardly out of this world. (Miner Wars 2081, PC, Xbox 360) 5/10
