Biggest Disappointments of 2012

Well, it is the end of the year and many journalism sites around the web are rounding up their biggest disappointments of 2012. Agree or disagree, this year certainly won’t go down in gaming history as one of its finest. (E3, Industry, Star Wars:The Old Republic, Steam)

The biggest disappointment of 2012 is the delays of Video Games.

Lol. True though. There will never be another wow or cod. It wont happen. Are there better games now...sure there are...but habits r hard to break. And if something is a little different, it isnt good enough. If its the same, then its an inferior cooycat. They will both erode, but everyone wont move on to one other game. they will splinter off. Hence, swtor was very good but its exlectations were way too high. Many love star wars but an entire generation doesnt know alot about it either. Cod may get a boost from next gen but i hav a feeling that its comletition is gonna get fierce.

Not sure. But the biggest disappointment of the week is all of these repetitive articles.

Why the PS4 will beat the Xbox720
WiiU is technically underpowered
17 reasons why GTA5 will be the best ever

I don't know if I'm gonna be able to handle all those fanboys when the next gen consoles are announced/released lol should be interesting.

And don't forget: 10 ways Steam Box will make PS4/720 obsolete :P

surprise, surprise... i would have been disappointed to have not seen the vita and/or sony on either of those lists because i wouldn't expect anything less from an idiotic gaming "journalist."

This is an example of programming. I keep seeing Star wars kinect and kinect in general popping up on these disappointment lists but the reality is neither actually fall into that category. Kinect Star wars has sold over 1 million copies and moved consoles. Kinect has been selling units by the boatloads and is still moving 100 of thousands of units. Who is disappointed?

The only people I can see disappointed is the people that have been told kinect is god awful and a unplayable fail that no one likes. Its alot like how fox news was telling everybody Romney was going to be President and the race was going to be close. If you stop listening to people talking and start looking at reality you would know kinect and KSW have been nohing but success. I have played kinect star wars for real and it is way better than the reviewers gave it credit for.

For me the biggest dissapointment has been great games being re-designed to suit the casual market,

Its great for alot of gamers but not for me im afraid.

Alot of the games I played in the second half of this gen have felt like choose your own adventure books that I liked to read when I was a kid, or interactive movies.
