"If you had told me that Sega’s sequel to Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing was going to be one of the best arcade racers I’ve played this year I’d probably just roll my eyes and write you off as some Sega-loving fool; blinded by the roster and environments, and thus totally overlooking the gimmicky transforming vehicles. Of coure, I’d be totally wrong for thinking that as, after spending quality time snuggled up to the Wii U version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Sumo Digital has created one hell of a racing title." 4.5/5
So the author basically admits having false pre-concieved notions about Sega games, like many "jornalolists" before him.
I read a comment by someone working at a gaming store, who said he'd steer customers away from this game because he just assumed it sucks (The lol-sega/sonic sucks bandwagon), but he regret it because he has seen a postive review for this game on the internet.
Laughable... and kind of unfortunate... Think of how many people were turned off from the game because of people like him, who critisize games they never played and just ride any bandwagon that makes them look cool.
Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing was utter pap though, so it wasn't too hard to believe that the sequel would be much better. Although other reviewers out there don't think it's utterly amazing, but that's the point of differing reviews.
