Dead Space 3 - 9 reasons we’re excited for more dismemberment

GamesRadar - 2013 is just over the horizon and one of the first major releases of the year is Dead Space 3. Since it’s reveal this past summer, a lot has been made about the changes to the franchise’s third entry. The online co-op, weapon upgrade system, and the setting of the icy planet of Tau Volantis have all made longtime fans wary of the next entry. But we’re here to tell you that, at least based on what we’ve played, there’s little to fear--outside of being ripped apart by the series’ trademark Necromorphs. (Dead Space 3, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

"John Carver, a man who on the surface seems to be the bald space marine archetype that Dead Space"

He is a bald space marine, a generic one that shouldn't of even been included. If it was Ellie as a co=op partner then fair enough it makes sense after the ending of DS2.

"More open than ever"

It's a horror game, thats a bad thing

"Weapon upgrades get an upgrade"

With how much rapid fiering went on in the demo and how over powered these things seem, again for a horror game this was a bad move.

Jeez most of these points are what are turning people off Dead Space 3.

EDIT: Really well my bad

I dunno. More open could be kinds cool in Dead Space. As for Carver...Meh. Ellie's at least in this game and if you don't play in co-op you won't have to deal with Carver as much.

Concerning to say the least.

So the guys who wrote this apparently aren't aware that dismemberment is barely relevant in the next game.
