GDC 2008: Rules of Engagement

Blizzard Entertainment's Rob Pardo talks multiplayer design. One of the more interesting sessions at GDC this year was delivered by Blizzard Entertainment's senior vice president of game design Rob Pardo. Since Blizzard has such a stellar reputation when it comes to multiplayer game design, we were anxious to hear Rob's ideas about creating and balancing multiplayer content. The session opened our eyes to some of the philosophies the guided the creation of Blizzard's existing multiplayer games and their upcoming Starcraft 2.
