'2013 has some big hitters coming out next year, and so far a majority of what’s been announced is coming in the first half. There are exciting titles such as BioShock Infinite, God of War: Ascension and Grand Theft Auto 5 leaving us all eagerly anticipating the day we can rip that brand new seal off the case and load up the game. So, which title takes the coveted spot of Most Anticipated Game of 2013? I’ll give you a hint: it’s not a sequel.' - JPS

Easily my most anticipated game of next year. Why? Well Naughty Dogs track record is untouchable this generation. They have set my expectations stupidly high for this title, but I am also distancing myself from news regarding gameplay and story so I can be surprised. I am VERY hyped for this one. I know they won't let me down.

TLOU

My Gaming Event of 2013

DigitalRaptor1384d ago (Edited 1384d ago )

Alongside BioShock Infinite, this is my most awaited game.

I think both are really pushing character AI, showing a glimpse of what is possible next gen. The way in which Elizabeth acts as a true partner during your time in Columbia, and how Ellie is a true helping hand in tough spots, as well as the enemy AI being superb and realistic. Oh man, both of those game's narratives and encompassing worlds will be incredible in their own ways.

Most Anticipated Game of 2013 for me:

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

Same here, Last of Us is the second though, followed by tearaway and gow.

Beyond - Two Souls for me

ab5olut10n1384d ago

i thought the title said "Most Scripted Game of 2013"

Ezz20131384d ago (Edited 1384d ago )

lol at the scripted talk again

@Bathyj
it always funny to see guys like him who live under a rock and come out to trash talk a game he know NOTHING about it

Bathyj1384d ago (Edited 1384d ago )

That would be funny if it wasnt so sad.

EDIT
Well firstly, I'm not a kid I'm nearly 40.
I dont see how I've been following you. Maybe I replied to something dumb you said before, I dont know, you think I remember you?
And I dont love it unquestionably, just everything I've seen looks amazing.
Plus apparently you dont know what scripted means, the gameplay looks as dynamic as it gets thanks to the unmatched AI.
I dont think for a second you have actual concerns, you're just trolling game youve already decided not to get.
So level-headed is not a term I'd use to describe you.

ab5olut10n1384d ago

stop following me around kiddo. you love this game unquestioningly without having played it, whereas i post my doubts and concerns. who then has the more level head?

Ezz20131384d ago (Edited 1384d ago )

@ab5olut10n

no you didn't
just google "the last of us scripted"
and see how many info and videos that prove that wrong
you don't know any thing about the game
if you think it's scripted
when we have two videos for the same place play WAY different than each other
and even the man who made MGS games
played it and was amazed by the next gen AI in this game

@Bathyj
that's what i thought about him too

j-blaze1384d ago

i think the game is going to be less scripted than uncharted, i also think the game is going to be short, slow and boring judging by the trailers released... and with game that slow you wont go back playing it again after your first playthrough.

i personally looking forward to Beyond, MGS and Dark Souls 2....b but TLoU? no thanks!

DigitalRaptor1384d ago (Edited 1384d ago )

What is so goddamn hilarious j-blaze, is that Heavy Rain can be EASILY described as everything you described about The Last of Us. But wait, you claimed to love Heavy Rain, so what is it? Really, what is it? Yep, your blind hate for Naughty Dog and jealously of the recognition they've got. Exposed.

I love Heavy Rain but a playthrough will last in the region of 8-10 hours. Uncharted games are around the same length, if not longer. The Last of Us will be at least as long as that.

Heavy Rain was also really slow paced especially at the beginning, and during the adventure and exploration scenes it's definitely more slow and "boring" than anything shown in the gameplay of The Last of Us.

In The Last of Us, you can approach the gameplay scenarios exactly how you want. There are no branching paths in narrative, but you can be stealthy/conservative or wreckless/guns blazing and every single outcome can be completely different based on your smallest choice. You can choose to go to the enemy or let them come to you. If you have the upper hand based on the "Balance of Power" mechanic, you can choose to spare lives or kill to ensure your own survival. That is where the replayability lies, and heck, I don't think it will have the plot holes that comes with a game like Heavy Rain.

Naughty Dog showed how The Last Of Us is NOT scripted by comparing the E3 demo with the PAX Prime demo, but you still think it is scripted, huh, "brilliant".
