ArmA 3 Delayed To 2013, No Exact Release Date Given

DSOGaming writes: "Even though ArmA 3 was officially schedule for release at the end of 2012 / start of 2013, we already knew that the game was not coming out anytime soon." (ArmA 3, PC)

Doesn't sound like it will be out anytime soon which is disappointing. Can't wait to play it though..

Wasn't really expecting this to be released this year anyway.

It would be interesting if it was delayed to come on on the next gen systems too. Then more people can play these great games too.

That would be cool. I've always wanted to get into ArmA but have never had the money to build a PC that could handle it.

Or it could be the fact that the studio is going through some strange circumstance where 2 of their devs got imprisoned.

I could see it working if KB/M was allowed. Otherwise, there just isn't enough buttons on a controller to really sustain ArmA.

Coming soon to an Xbox 720 near you....
Won't sell well on 720.

no perks and no waves of enemies.

And also it's hardcore sim.

Won't need to sell well. Developers are putting it onto the PC as well where it most likely will sell well...if not pirated to death.

At least the devs will know that it will sell on the 720 if it's a launch title since the 720 won't be hacked by then at launch, and just like all launch titles on new consoles, they generally sell well since the amount of games available at launch are very slim with little competition. Just look at Resistance on the PS3 and compare it's sales to the rest of the game sales in the franchise even though there were many millions more consoles on the market at the time of their release.

ArmA will sell just fine if there are limited amount of military shooters to compete against it on the 720 at launch.
