The quietest and most deadliest of rages. Those games where you just couldn't any more.
Whahaha. I've had plenty of those moments in games where I have to get up, walk away and go back later else I will smash all things.
These are games where I couldn't even go back :|
I remember breaking a many amount of PS1 controllers when I was younger. I never knew that a game was supposed to beat me...
MK9 shao kahn last battle, nuff said
very very funny, but wouldn't be as funny if it was not true
Its almost as bad when facedesking the keyboard with muppets playing next to you in a co-op game
Would you be playing Dota2 by any chance?? :)
I remember playing the first Devil May Cry on Dante Must Die mode, specifically fighting Nightmare. RAGE
Due to glitches: Naughty Bear and Rage. Due to difficulty: X-Com (the first one), XCOM (new one on impossible setting), and Demon's Souls. Due to being an awful game: FF13 I did finish both XCOM games, but it required periods of cooldown. I said "F THIS GAME!" at the ending (or complete lack of one) for Final Fantasy Tactics. I still want to BBQ every chocobo I see.
The mile high thing took me ages to do. I randomly decided to have a bum day at uni and just thought **** it. Everyone has lectures I can do it by the time they get back. Several hours later I was still trying. I managed to do it in the end but there was no sense of gratitude that I had done it. More confusion that I have wasted my day doing it
I know all these feels. You're lucky you actually managed to complete it though. well, I mean it's all relative I suppose - I wasted a day with no result at all, not even confusion.
Demon's Souls the first time i bought it Modern Warfare 2 online MGS Peace Walker last 2 bosses trying to 5-star raining blood on expert in GH3 trying to platinum Inferno 2 on Trials HD (i ended up doing it)
New Twisted Metal fighting 2 Juggernauts at once? Lol, yeah that counts.
Book of Eschalon 2... Stone Golem. I was stuck in that damn cave by mistake and had to kill him to leave.
God Hand on Hard against Great Sensei. Fuck. EVERYTHING.
Honestly this game and ZombiU (since I refuse to play it on Normal). I completely enjoyed the masochistic nature of DeS and DaS so I never got frustrated with drying in those games.
While playing Ninja Gaiden 3. The game was ass from beginning to end...and by end I mean the part where the ridiculous main boss summons a dinosaur that can go from a laying position to standing and biting your ass off in less than a second. So after getting boned a few times...I figured I'd seen enough .. ejected the disc. Crushed it..and placed it I. The trash where it belongs. Forgot to mention how you have to destroy a chopper with a bow but that same bow don't do shit against Nina dogs or anyone really. Screw that game and team Ninja
first time my brother played bf3... he smashed the keyboard with a meat mallet and threw the meat mallet out. also.. alcohol was involved.
I've played so many game where they were difficult but not horrible, but there is one game that comes to mind that took me close to a week to get through one level on the hardest difficulty. Call of Duty: World at War on the level "Downfall" where you where storming the Reichstag. That is the level that made me ask the question: "Where the F**K did the Nazis get heat seeking grenades?" Literally every time I would stop for a second to get cover or heal or anything there would be 2 or 3 grenade warning icons. So nerve racking and I would play until I get a checkpoint and then I would stop for the night because i'm old and I don't need that kind of aggravation.
Gran Turismo 5, GTA SA Mission with Big Smoke "All you had to do, was follow the damn train CJ!"
Mass effect 2 final boss is a ****king joke.
Devil May Cry 3 Nuff said.
Radic in killzone 2 on elite was a [email protected]
Making stupid mistakes/miscalculations... repeatedly. Recent example? Far Cry 3, trying to stealth take-down a patrol dog. Didn't realize until after the 10th try, you can just snipe them, and it will still count as being undetected (I don't have a friggen clue why that didn't register in my head after the 3rd try).
