Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker turns 10 years old today

Believe it or not, but it was ten years ago today that the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker released in Japan. The controversial Zelda title got a lot of criticism when it released but has aged well and many gamers remember it fondly. (GameCube, Retro, The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker)

This is in my top 2 favorite Zelda game of all time next to Link to the Past and right in front of Ocarina of Time. The open world, the open seas, the adventures, the artstyle. Toonshading done better than anyone else could have. One of the most original styles of cell shading and I would love to replay this game in 1080p. Even though they used this art style on the DS titles, I would really enjoy it if a new Zelda that looks this WW could be made on Wii U some day.

I liked it better than OOT, in fact it was my favorite. It was a beautiful game and a lot different than the other Zelda's, which was refreshing. I wish they would take more risks w/ the Zelda series, but they probably won't since Windwaker is amongst the most hated Zelda's. I have NO clue why.
