there was a little bit of a huss and fuss about Starhawks main character being "African American" and whether a games sales would be affected. I think, at this day in age, gamers tend not care about something as trivial as the protagonist's color of skin. I'm glad that was validated with Walking Dead game. As long as you have an excellent story and world to immerse the player into, that main character could be blue or green. The whole Far Cry "racism" thing is hogwash. The game is set on an island where some of the indigenous people were of "African decent". There wasn't anyone calling foul when we were killing Germans or Koreans. This games is awesome although i was hoping Borderlands 2 won GOTY. Definitely a must have for any video gamer's library

Are you saying that the excellent story is what stopped people being racist towards Lee?
Skin color should NEVER be an issue, whether the game is a masterpiece like The Walking Dead or a straight to the bargain bin piece of junk.
Anyone that didn't like a game just because of the skin color or ethnicity of the protagonist is pathetic and should be Judo chopped eleven times.

Despite putting out other similar properties with Back to the Future: The Game and Jurassic Park: The Game, the products were largely met with a very mixed and ultimately tepid response from the public. The rampant acclaim and runaway success reached with The Walking Dead launched the developer into one of the most anticipated and favourable studios out there with one revolutionary product.

I think the walking dead story telling is amazing. I really love the games and think that they bring the respect of gaming story telling up in the world of entertainment in general :)
