Gi - The video game community has been torn down the middle by the announcement of a Devil May Cry reboot. Some have welcomed a new splash of life into the series while others believe the long-running series is going in the wrong direction.

It's not that the word is in the game. It's the fact that Ninja Theory has went out of their way to change Dante in every way. He had never cussed in the games, now he doesn't stop.

If the rumor's about the leaked ending are true,(Not really a spoiler, don't panic, I will not go into detail, don't want to spoil it if this is true.) Then it is beyond sadistic.
They have gone out of their way to make this so far from Dante, that's what it is about... Gameplay aside, that is a whole other debate.

Combat is a lot slower then previous installments.
pretty much everyone else admits that it's easier , so give it up imo . Those in favor of the game usually just pretend that it's for the best as it makes it more "accessible" .
Ludicrous imo , but a far more believable opinion than "it's as fast and as complex" . Of course it's not , the proofs are there for everyone to see .
It astonishes me how delusional these so-called Devil May Cry diehards can be; they're almost as bad as Justin Beiber fangirls. Let's get something straight first of all: Devil May Cry is not, never has been and will never be regarded as the shining example of gaming excellence that some of you pretend that it is. Let's not forget that it started as the abortion of a failed Resident Evil experiment that Capcom eventually decided to salvage on a whim. Let that sink in for a minute. This franchise has always had the most over the top, cornball characters and an utterly laughable narrative, let's not even get into how ridiculous the music was. But you know what? THAT'S OK and I enjoyed the games(well, the 2 that were actually fun, anyway) for exactly what they were, and there's nothing wrong with that. The first game was good, the second was garbage, with the third being a return to form while the fourth was little more than pedestrian fan service. The devs have been shooting from the hip with this franchise from day one and it's been obvious since then, so let's all stop kidding ourselves here. This series was rebooted because it lacked any semblance of focus or direction, but nobody conveniently noticed this because of how "bad-ass" and "awesome" Dante was and it was just too much fun pwning all t3h demunz. I hope this game knocks everybody's socks off, if for no other reason than to shut all of these cretins up.

It's like nobody actually played the older DMC's. They just assume things.

The combat is just as fast. You just have to learn moves. Trust me. It took me a couple of playthroughs, but I got it down.
