Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch – Hands-On Impressions | COIN-OP TV

LEVEL-5 did a really nice job on this demo. You have two choices in the menu. You can either play an early quest where they explain movement and battle mechanics in a forest area or you can get into a boss fight from slightly later on in a lava area. (Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, PS3)

Nah.. As traditional turn-based RPGs go, Lost Odyssey is by far the best I have ever played. Awn..

I thoroughly enjoyed the demo of this game. I cannot wait to play this game. The battle system is very fun. The art style of the game is fantastic. The story of the game seems interesting. I have the game pre-ordered already. January 22 cannot come fast enough.

I really wish the demo had some area to explore, that's my main attraction to this game, but not being able to try it out left me kinds bummed out

What do you mean? The demo has the first forest to explore (Yes, it's a full dungeon if you don't take the route with the goal star in it after defeating the guardian, complete with chests and monsters), a decent chunk of the (amazingly pretty with incredibly pretty music) world map, and a part of the volcano dungeon.

Do you mean towns? Yeah I was bummed that the demo ends right when you enter it, but that just leaves more surprises for the full game!

And there's even a secret area with a locked chest and NPCs. Just found it.

oh that's probably why then, i can't beat these bosses, never played JRPGs besides Pokemon, NIER, and Dark/Demon's souls so the combat style is something completely new to me

after playing the demo
I get the feel of pokemon; and the battle system is like the animated series. My only thing in this game is I hope ni no kuni makes a sequel; and for the game I want to be able to capture all types of familiars in the game.

I thought the demo was really wonderful. The battle system works well, and I prefer it to your traditional turn-based combat. It has a Pokemon vibe to it which is nice. Exploring the overworld is a joy and the soundtrack just makes everything so much grander.

Of course, it's a visual splendor. The art looks spectacular on an HD screen, and it's a shame you only get 25 minutes in the demo to explore the world, until you have to start again.

Wizard's Edition pre-ordered. I have to say this is going to be a highlight of the early half of next year.
