This past Friday at the VGAs, Kotaku’s Jason Schreier caught Gabe Newell and asked him if Valve was working on any “interesting software projects”. Gabe replied with an answer I am sure no one saw coming.
“We were working on getting Dota 2 running on some tablets… That ended up being kind of a disappointment. But the good news is that tablets are getting faster very quickly, so I think we’ll get the kind of performance we want and other game developers want in the near future.”
Gabe then followed up with ”It’s a good one for us to test with,”. Possibly hinting at other Valve titles such as half-Life and Left 4 Dead might be getting the same treatment in up coming releases...
