What to Expect From Zelda U?

Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess have all been heralded as incredible renditions of the classic tale, and unofficial flagship titles of their respective consoles. So how can we expect the debut Wii U Legend of Zelda title to fare in comparison to such a legacy? (The Legend of Zelda, Wii U)

great things...expect zelda wiiu to be most likely the best looking game or best game in general of this next generation

I expect Nintendo to really push the envelope with this game. The art style and graphic quality should really be pushed to the limit this time.

I really hope they stick with the water color style. That with a bit more horsepower would be eye-popping.

All i hope for it, is that it should play like a typical Zelda game, and not have touch gimmicks, that directly affect how you steer link around or anything.
But some clever touch or gyroscope puzzles here and there would be great :)

I would tolerate say a gyroscopic boomerang which you could guide with the gamepad sort of how Batman Arkham City used it. That could make for some cool puzzles if Link had to throw his boomerang and you had to steer it through a maze hitting triggers along the way or something.

But I agree. Just because the gamepad has a screen doesn't mean that everything has to revolve around that.

I hope they use it the same way as OoT 3D used the touchscreen for gameplay, with a little bit of PH/ST/SS in there for items and puzzles.

I really liked the ability to jot down notes on the map in the DS games, and hope that returns too. The Uncharted Island was one of the niftiest puzzles in Phantom Hourglass.
