I'd like to think the team's ambition was too ambitious even for themselves. They had an idea that was grand, but was held back by technical limitations. How else could all our work in ME1-2 sum up to simply a numbers-game for ME3? Make X-choice, get X-EMS points. Get enough points for X-ending. They had a really good idea with the trilogy but just terrible execution.
Makes me wonder if things would've been different had a more capable team handled the trilogy.
Seriously people, stop crying about the ending to this game. It's so pathetic and guess what, no choice that you have ever made in any game has truly matter. In the end, you always end up where the developer wants you to be.
Even in the Witcher 2 the 3rd chapter is the same no matter what path you take. In the Walking Dead Game the ending is the same no matter what choices you make. It's not about whether your choices matter, but if you are emotional effected by those choices. Mass Effect 3 succeeding in emotionally attaching you to characters. So get over the shit ending already.

really? I've played ME1&2 through several times each, but returned ME3 shortly after Garrus. I guess you find unironic, uninspired references to good times with previous games to be emotionally involving. good on you.
It's not only the thing about choice that sucks about the endings. It's also the way the endings feel like they are trying to convey a message, but it's very... veeery incoherent.

Wow my jaw dropped. To put this much effort into something you feel so passionate about and churn out such an amazing trailer for it deserves a standing ovation. THIS is was the gaming community does right, and honestly... I really want to get the ME PC trilogy now. Just for this. I want my little blue Shepards Bioware!!!
SPOILERS This was amazing, and at the end when I saw SHEPARD being the one to put up Andersons name I was overwhelmed with emotion, then I remembered this was not canon, but someone who went to enormous lengths to make their own ending. And idk but its just not the same, since I know that's not really what happened and all I know of my shdpard is he's possibly dying in rubble somewhere.
Dear fan please stop tormenting us about the ending, we beg you to stop. We recognize that the ending wasn't the best the first time round and have done our upmost to fix that mistake. Yes, yes we also know the patched ending wasn't good enough either but it was impossible for us to fulfill all your need after the fact. We're sorry we lied to you the fans about the fact that each individual one of you would have your own different ending with millions of possibilities and scenarios to. We humbly ask that you forgive us and buy our next game please, PLEASE! Now please enjoy MEHEMS trailer as a good substitute for our own
