How Spec Ops: The Line risks pushing video game narratives too far
Bitmob - Recently, a video game made me want to put down the controller and walk away. It wasn’t due to frustration or boredom either, but because I couldn’t handle its intensity.
(PC, PS3, Spec Ops: The Line, Xbox 360)
The game is freaking wonderful. I was really amazed... I bought it on a whim, when it was 5 bucks on PC... So happy I did...
It looked like yet another military shooter, same old, same old... Though right from the beginning it sucks you in with that helicopter battle. The characters seem interesting, the story seems good, the ambiance and setting are wonderful. I haven't gotten far, but this certainly isn't your run of the mill shooter thankfully!
