This Monday we will hear ever more news about the highly anticipated The Last of Us for Sony PS3. The games release date was just announced for May 7th and this Monday more news is set to hit.

I'm more excited about the single player to be honest. The narrative and acting seems to be in a class of its own. I imagine that the multiplayer can only go so far- unless of course this goes all Goldeneye on us and the multiplayer is ground breaking.
For me, it's all about the story. The game appears to have all the makings of becoming a legendary classic...and so late into the generation. Will I finally shed a tear?!
Possible information on multiplayer? I hope so because i'm really intrigued as to what the multiplayer is. Hoping for something like a free for all mode in a large environment where you start off with just a pistol that has one clip and then you sort of go around scavenging stuff and watching for enemies. Or something like a team death match type mode with the same concept but you have to actually use strategy with your teammates because of the low supply of ammo and since there is no health regen (At least I hope there isn't in multiplayer). Sort of like DayZ.
Nobody mentioned that they could reveal the multiplayer, since it was announced that it will be a part of the game. But maybe i'm wromg and it will be revealed in the next months.
For Multiplayer they need to just have co-op mode up to like 4 players, similar to Gears of War Horde Mode but have the infected as the enemies and call the Mode "Infected" or something..different maps are different cities the Single Player takes place in such as Pittsburgh, Boston, etc. I think that would be amazing. Make your own survivor and level him to customize his looks and weapons he starts off with
As much as I like online multiplayer, I wouldn't mind if it turns out singleplayer only, just like the 1st Uncharted. I want storytelling that pulls me right in from the start, I want to be suprised by the AI, suck up the enviroments and take my time as I admire the artdirection. I'm expecting nothing less than a game I will remember for years.
After 3 Uncharted games I don't think I'm asking for too much:) Hell, they will deliver, no matter what they have to tell tomorrow. I've seen enough.
After uncharted 2, and 3 they have proven they can still deliver on sp while adding mp. Not everyone does but I actually enjoy uncharted mp aswell. But I highly doubt we will see team deathmatch type mp out of the last of us. Co op is most likely, or a fresh competitive spin.
