Neocrisis:Halo 4 Review

Halo 4 is not only the best Halo of this generation; it quite possibly is the best exclusive ever released for the XBOX 360. It’s been 5 years since Master Chief left us; drifting off through space he took with him what neocrisis considered the end of an era in gaming. (Halo 4, Xbox 360) 9.5/10

I don't get these great review scores.

Halo 4 is a standard sequel. No innovation.
Im sick of all these sequels that don't offer anything new.
At lease the tired Halo franchise isn't a yearly release like COD and Assassin's Creed.

Innovation is not always necessary either. If the game is fun, polished, and well developed why not reward the developer. You can tell 343 took great care of and respected Halo as a franchise. Games like Journey and Okami and so on are all great innovative games, but not all games have to be. Games should be fun above all else, and Halo 4 is a blast.
