The Man of Steel Game Could be an RPG

With every Superman game that has come out to date, it has pretty much sucked the life of gamers. They've all come in with the same formula - saving the city, people, flying trucks, maniacs - all that with super flying, wham! bam! action and within a limited time...and FAILED. Is it time to finally take a deeper look at the way Superman - The Man of Steel should be played?

Read The Game Druid's take on why the next Man of Steel Game could be an RPG and a great one at that! (Industry)

interesting. My expectations are very, very VERY low, but maybe it's about time we get a quality Superman game.

i hope rocksteady develops a new Superman game, they seem make kickass comic hero games so after the great batman series i am hoping someone does a proper superman

I was about 12 when Superman 64 was released, and even then I thought it was crap, and never bothered with a superman game since... Batman was only a little better, I remember playing a batman side scrolling game on the SNES and thinking it wasn't that bad for a rental.

Rocksteady has done an amazing job with Batman, and I think they have really set the bar for how a comic hero game should be developed and presented. I hope Batman Arkham Asylum and its sequel become a positive example for future developers creating games based on comic book heroes.

I think a Superman RPG could work quite well, if they create a story that really places the weight of the world on Superman's shoulders.

I don't think I've ever played a good Superman game in my life Lol. I'd love to see a "RockSteady" interpretation of a Superman game, just like how they did with the Batman Arkham series.

Beenox is also a great studio for super hero games. Spiderman Shattered Dimensions was really quite fun and good fan service, especially for someone like me who enjoys reading the comics. Although they could do better with the character animations, they feel too light
