Take a look at the first gameplay trailer for Lords of Shadow 2.
If it runs at higher than 5fps this time, maybe.
I'm not sure what you're talking about, the first one ran perfectly fine for me on PS3, never below 25FPS at the least, I'm sure the same goes for the 360 version, so what do you mean?
Looks beautiful. Can't wait to see more gameplay mechanics.
Man, couldn't really tell what he was saying the audio is terrible. :\ Still, from what I could see, it looked pretty great!

"I am the dragon Dracul"???this doesn't make any sense
Dracul means Dragon or Devil. He is saying that he is THE dragon Dracul.
I never got a chance to play the first one but I was thinking about picking it up for ps3 because of this sequel. How is the first game?
Pretty good, gorgeous, huge, challenging, atmospheric. The fixed camera is a bit problematic - especialy near the end. Combat is awesome, story is meh. Lots of collectibles, levels can be replayed at will. Character/monster design is absolutely fantastic. All in all, a very worthy game that, at this point, you can find very cheap.
Do I have to know the castlevania story to play this?
This is like Uncharted and God of War mechanics put into a visually stunning, 20 hour linear story broken across many chapters. The visuals are breathtaking, the combat is solid. The puzzles and bosses are wonderful. I love this game. This is one of the best Castlevanias ever made and I highly recommend it. You will have a blast.
soundtrack is epic
@ratcop22 No, you don't. It's a reboot, if I'm not mistaken. It was my first Castlevania and I was never lost storywise.
I wonder why did they go with cell shaded maybe its alpha gameplay but still the first one had uncharted like graphics
Mercury Steam reached the final steps to Santa Monica greatness.
Not even close
You must have bad eye sight dude since what you say is not even remotely true. Castlevania LoS was good but nowhere near as good as GoW. The story was horribly narrated and it felt forced even though it was done by Patrick Stewart. The graphics were good, but only from far. During close ups, you could easily notice things get blurred and lose detail unlike GoW where the detail remains sharp. No one does scale like GoW. They tried in this game and only came close to SotC- a PS2 game. With huge boss battles on LotS, the landscapes are empty, visuals take a hit and if the boss or large entity is in the background (music box level), the graphics for it are fogged out. Big bosses were rinse and repeat of a watered down SotC. They lacked the creativity SotC had. It LotS, it's all about climbing and hitting the glowing orbs. The puzzle sections about how to get onto the boss, disarm him, change the landscape etc do not exist. Is Castlevania LotS a good game?! Yes, it is. Is mercury steam getting to be as good as Santa Monica? No where near close enough. For those who don't own a ps3, this is a poor man's GoW. Also a worthy purchase for those who like hack n slash games and as someone said earlier, possibly the best 3D Castlevania game I've ever played.
Aren't you too eager to judge the gameplay and scale of a game from a trailer where neither of those things were seen? What was on par with GOW3 was the lighting, animations and quality of character models. And about scale I thing the first Lord of Shadow nailed it pretty nicely, even better than the third game of God of War that was lacking in that regard (bosses aside)
Scale was done better? Was it? No one has been able to do quality scale which is dynamic like GoW3, especially LotS. As mentioned earlier, which you clearly ignored, sacrificing quality for scale is not nearing Santa Monica standards. Secondly, your point is very valid about making judgements from a trailer of an unreleased game. It's called hypocrisy since you judged Mercury Steam nearing SM quality before I did. So lighting and animation was as good as GoW3. I can name several games which have that, by your principles does that make them near enough to SM too? Lighting was good is LotS, but as good as GoW3? Nope. It didn't play about with lighting anywhere near as much as GoW3 did, especially with the head of Helios and the cavern sections. You also ignored the facts about character models in LotS losing detail when closing up on them unlike GoW3 where they remain quality. Again, I stress the point, LotS is a great 3rd party game, but it doesn't have the quality to take on a 1st party game considering limitations on both consoles and having to make something which works well on both.
Loved the first one, cant wait for this. Speaking of which i still have to buy the DLC for the first one. So glad they got Robert Carlyle to return and do the voice.
Shut up and take my money
Year 2013 shall be amazing!
Robert Carlyle has such an awesome voice. Can't wait to play this.
I love castlevania & will buy it no matter what.. LOS was a great game & im sure LOS2 will be great too.. ALUCARD BIOTCHES!
looks great! much better than the new GOW and that wannabe DMC game imo!
The first part was one of the most underrated games of the last gazillion years . I just hope they bring Patrick Stewart to do the narratives . Plus,i hope Kojima has a more direct influence this time, unless they given Mercury Steam full support and let them work in peace this time :) I cant remember since a spanish software team done this good in the vg industry .
