PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale – Review | GamesCatalyst

GamesCatalyst writes:

"It’s clear from the outset what Sony is trying to do with PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. It has seen the success of Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. series, and the resurgence of Capcom’s line of fighting mash-ups, and has decided it wants in on the action.
It’s not exactly a noble goal, but it’s one that developer SuperBot Entertainment has pursued with aplomb. This isn’t a subtle or refined game, but one derived from brute force and blunt objects. Its swagger a combination of explosive backdrops and overblown super moves."

its a psychological problem. PSASBR is suppose to be Sony smash bros. but instead of going all the way and beyond. they only went 85% of where they're suppose to be.

superbot was to make a playstation allstar brawl with playstation brand characters but heres the thing sony playstation characters are no longer viewed as cute and cuddly. and for this game play style to truly shine it needs cute and cuddly like a mario or a pikachu.

this game was basically free advertisement.

It IS psychological.

People THINK it's supposed to be just like SSB, so they're disappointed when it ISN'T; yet, at the same time, they're upset and call it a clone when it IS.

Psychologically, so many people can't really grasp that PSAS is in the same GENRE, but isn't the same GAME. Even you have fallen victim to that, as you seem to want the very same thing.

They're different games. View them as such.

the game was suppose a clone and failed with style of play and roster choice. alot of these reviewres fail to mention replay value. PSASBR does not have that replay value to keep me up for hours.
