PlanetSide 2 Review | DarkStation

DarkStation: "PlanetSide 2 is a hard game to sum up. It’s a beautiful, solidly built shooter that presents large-scale conflict like nobody else in the business. The rest of the game’s enjoyment, however, is entirely up to you. If you can dedicate the time to learning the systems, decoding the cumbersome UI, and finding a group of people that you like playing with, PlanetSide 2 will be a blast." (PC, Planetside 2) 7/10

alot of people who don't really know what planetside is about will be having trouble enjoying the game. i can imagine alot of newcomers logging in and being completely clueless about what's going on but i don't think that should be a reason to give the game a lower score. i think with time after people have become accustomed to playing as part of a big group as opposed to playing on their own and try to look at the bigger picture rather than just looking for something to kill this game will be quite popular. also on ultra settings this game looks absolutely stunning (many people don't even know this setting exists as it isn't available in the option menu someone has video on this. http://www.youtube.com/watc... ) so with time people should have better machines and this game will better optimised so everyone can enjoy it with out any issues. all in all i think the future is bright for planetside and it is the first of its kind, the first bit of innovation i've seen in an fps for years.
