E.X. Troopers Isn’t Exactly the Lost Planet I Remember (And That’s a Good Thing!) | Kotaku

E.X. Troopers is a spin-off title to Capcom's Lost Planet series. Like the main series, it takes place on the thawing ice planet of E.D.N. III. Yet, even one single glance at the game is enough to tell you that this is not Lost Planet as you've seen it before. Instead it's a manga-style, flashy, over-the-top story of a boy and his giant robot. And while the deviations from its parent series are extreme (for better or for worse), there is plenty to love in E.X. Troopers. (3DS, E.X. Troopers, PS3) -

Bit miffed that as a PS3 title there's a painfully obvious level of under utilization of hardware as shown in gameplay.

I assume it was a 3DS title first and a PS3 one second, evidenced mostly by the fact that the game's shooting mechanics are suited for the handheld, with auto locking-on and whatnot.

I heard some rumors, that a ps vita version is also in development.
