Great Big War Game Developer: Windows RT "Born To Fail"

Paul Johnson, owner of Great Big War Game developer Rubicon Mobile, has attacked the Windows RT App Store in a website update, describing the service as "born to fail". A port of the company's best-selling iOS and Android game Great Big War Game cost around $16,000 to create, while bringing in just $84 worth of sales.

"A week after release we have made the princely sum of GBP 52 [approx. $84] in sales," he wrote.

"That's not a typo. And despite this, and the fact that Great Big War Game is one of only several halfway decent launch titles, Microsoft have confirmed they will not give us any promotional features or help us with visibility in any way."

well we all knew surface was epic fail before it came out and now its worse with less then 1 million sales in over a month. No one talks about it you don't see it anywhere and the hype its dead...not like it was ever there. slow clunky tablet that cant decide if its windows 8 or a tablet between the 2 interfaces. And with apps like cut the rope for 5 bux where on ios its 99 cents cant help at all.

Cause maybe your game sucks & not everyone is as gullible as Android ,IOS owners. So if no one buys it why waste resources in something nobody wants . JMO

Great Big War Game Review (GameWoof)

Great Big War Game is the third in what many consider the gold standard in turn based strategy games for mobile devices. The first two, Great Little War Game and its expansion Great Little War Game: All Out War still represent some of the best traditional war gaming on Android more than a year after their release. While the second game, All Out War was more of an expansion pack than a true sequel, Great Big War Game has been billed as the true next step for the beloved franchise. Unfortunately, as great as the game is, it still holds to much to its past and utilizes too many assets from the previous games to feel like a true sequel. Great Big War Game ends up feeling like yet another expansion, albeit one that includes one of the most sorely missed features from the last two games, online Multiplayer. Fortunately, this is enough to make the purchase a wise one for most strategy fans.
