The Best New Game Properties of 2012

IGN - Sequels are so comforting, aren't they? From Halo 4 to Borderlands 2, 2012 was a year where publishers and developers built excellent sequels on the foundation of great, established franchises. It's easy to catch a gamer's attention on a store shelf when your product has a number on the box; it means there was a game before it and there will probably be a game after it. It's a safe investment to know you're jumping in to a party mid-celebration. (Culture)
