Game of the Year to be much toucher choice in 2012

2012 was a year of change and development for gaming.

Franchises made triumphant returns or not so triumphant comebacks. The Wii U was released with mostly ported games and received a mixed reaction. And, more than any other year, downloadable titles proved that they can indeed hold their own against retail games.

But which one deserves the title of Game of the Year?

The SPIKE Video game Awards, while not the only annual awards ceremony for video games, tends to give a good idea of which games are going to win throughout all other award ceremonies. It airs 8 p.m. Friday, and now is the best time to mention the five game of the year nominees and see which ones stand the best chance of winning. (Assassin's Creed III, Dishonored, Industry)
