Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition Review [Capsule Computers]

Author Joshua Moris of Capsule Computers writes:

"Baldur’s Gate has – in my mind – stood the test of time as one of the greatest role playing games available on the PC. As Overhaul Games has altered the cosmetics of this great title and delivered some noticeable improvements, the core game has not changed. For this I am greatly appreciative because the sheer difficulty provided by the title makes it worth every penny." (Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, PC) 8/10

It is one of the great classics, but I won't be picking it up again I'm afraid. I sunk a lot of time into the original and burnt myself out on it pretty bad, which means that I have no desire to see what little improvements they made even if the game was only $5, let alone $20.

Im in the same boat as you, just completed I & II + expansions 2 years ago...again.
The good news is that i heard that the developer is working on something called "Baldurs gate Next" or something like that, and i really really hope that translates into baldurs gate III.

I keep hearing great things about this from people I know. Good to see an Enhanced Edition.

For the old school RPG fans the value of this game isnt great on the PC and the lack of Steam support is questionable. However on the iPad this game is a home run. It is clearly the best RPG on that platform and the ability to enjoy this epic adventure while laying in bed or on long trips make it a must buy.
