Open Worlds Fun For Just Hanging Out - Twinfinite

I don’t mind spending time in the following worlds because they provide the experience of being able to mess around without necessarily having to worry about finishing (or even really starting) the game. Kick back, stop looking at your ever-growing quest log, and let’s go on a trip together. (Far Cry 2, Final Fantasy IX, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Just Cause 2, PC, PS2, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind)

Far Cry 2 is only fun for running down zebras in a jeep... other than that it's kinda boring just to hang out in. Just got Sleeping Dogs, and it's pretty fun to explore.
