Review: Far Cry 3 | Stevivor.com

Reviewer Bryce Wilson writes, "In a market seemingly populated entirely by macho men shooters, Far Cry 3 is a mature breath of fresh air, not only for game design and innovation, but also for the series in which it takes place." (Far Cry 3, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 9/10

The weird thing is, I'm usually not a fan of FPS. I'm usually turned off from them... though I love some like Halo, Bioshock... Borderlands.

But this game really appeals to me! I ordered a copy online and can't wait for it to get here.

FPS are not my thing either but Far Cry 3 is right up there with Demons/Dark Souls, Witcher 2 and RDR for my favorite games of this gen. The main character voice acting and the difficulty (wish that the game had a higher difficulty level) were the only flaws i found in this game. Hope you enjoy it just as much as i did.

I can't get enough of this game..

I do hope they can patch the screen tear on the ps3 though. Forcing 1080p helped a little.

The Islander NPC's are a crackup, you see them do some really hilarious things. like last night I came across a Rakyat skinning a deer in the middle of the road, then a about ten seconds later a jeep load of his mates came tearing round the corner and ran right over him. Then a bit further along I could here gunfire coming from the beach and thought I'd join in but when I got there it was three Rakyat standing there firing their Ak's into the air for no reason LOL.
The only gripe I have is the QTE's, spoiler alert but the thing with Buck lost all it's impact in the end because the game takes control away from you right at the good part.
