What I Love About Far Cry 3

RPS - Far Cry 3 is a game of enormous juxtaposition. Overall it is undoubtedly an absolutely stunning game, ridiculously fun and utterly engrossing. And in there are some real extremes. I argue that Far Cry 3 contains some of the features for which we’ve spent our years screaming at the sky, a real understanding of why fun can be more worthwhile than realism, emergent play, and angry, angry tigers.

What i want to know is where my computer is storing the save files so i can play on my comp at work, too.

EDIT: nm, figured it out. If anyone else was having this trouble, the save files are in C:\programdata\orbit\46

make sure you enable viewing of hidden folders first.

Somebody is playing the pirated skidrow version lol. I gathered that not only from the file location you gave but that fact that game runs through uplay. This means it supports clould game saving meaning you wouldn't have that problem.

On the official version it is in your ubisoftlauncher folder.

geth1gh1466d ago

Disagrees for anything and everything here on n4g.

What I stated was something I know for a fact. I don't get it lol.

Krew_921466d ago (Edited 1466d ago )

Oh yes because you know his life, and know for a FACT that his at work location has internet readily available.

You know because you know him so much... Think before you post, he could have gotten it cracked or he couldn't have you won't know and never will unless you know the guy.

geth1gh1466d ago (Edited 1466d ago )

Lol what?

I actually had the pirated version of the game because I wanted play it before release. The file location that he listed is where the skidrow crack redirects game saves.

Like I said above the official game saves in the ubisoftlaunch folder which is in a completely different section of the drive. (Heads up, the saves aren't compatible between the official and pirated version :/)

So yes, I know exactly what the deal is.

@geth

thats odd cos i had the skidrow version and it wasnt in C:\programdata\orbit\46 it was in my programfiles\ubisoft folder

geth1gh1465d ago (Edited 1465d ago )

Hmm, maybe from update 1.02? Did you already have uplay installed beforehand? I know that the orbit save location is def only from cracking it.

Found out a decent amount of info about it after researching how to export my game save into the legit game.

That's why I was trying to share my knowledge that everyone seems to think is preposterous.

I love it because it doesn't take itself too seriously and its a lot of fun doing the extra stuff (red dead redemption mini-games and side mission struture ripoff basicly lol) without compromising the singleplayer experience and the multiplayer is good fun.

Its the kinda shooter im going to be playing for months to come till MGS Ground Zeroes comes out that is ehehe.

Sp1d3ynut1466d ago (Edited 1466d ago )

Something tells me MGS:GZ will see a delayed dev cycle, much like MGRR has...likely because of the jump to multiplatform. I'll bet it won't actually make it in 2013, and we'll even have an announcement for next-gen consoles, before it releases.

e-p-ayeaH1466d ago

I dont mind if it gets delayed because Kojima always provides great games.

Phenomenal game. A definite improvement over its heavily flawed and broken predecessor. A personal GOTY contender alongside Borderlands 2, and these games are a part of one of my LEAST favourite genres of games (shooters). That is saying a lot!
