Don't Worry About Bioshock: Infinite's Cover Art

Kotaku - The Internet does not like Bioshock Infinite’s cover art. We’ve been promised one of the last unique, intriguing games on this generation, and what we’re seeing now looks like something between Uncharted and Call of Duty, with little more than a hint of anything that might make this game special. (BioShock: Infinite, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

The game itself is what matters to me.

It's not that bad.

I've never played a box art. So I really don't care what it looks like.

Don't see the big deal...it's just the box..

How about these idiots who are crying about the cover try being surprised by things in the game while they play it rather than having it spoiled by putting stuff on the cover. Maybe it's generic for a reason.

What I find funny are the comments that critisize those who are complaining because they believe those people aren't going to buy the game or think any less of the game itself because of its box art.

Listen, I've ordered the Songbird Edition of the game, and I am absolutely looking forward to playing it, especially with PlayStation Move. That said, I'm entitled to comment about how inappropriate, ugly, distasteful and misrepresenting the box art for the game is, cause let's face it, the art is all of those things.

It does strike me as odd that such a heavily themed, beautiful world could receive such ugly boxart. Also I think Drakes Fortune's boxart is much better.

That being said, I'm totally stoked to pick up BioShock Infinite, the boxart holds no sway over me, though that can't be said for the millions of ignorant customers browsing GameStop.
