Rare was going to kill Joanna Dark in cancelled Perfect Dark sequel

Former employee of Rare Studios and creator of Conker's Bad Fur Day says that the cancelled sequel (that could have been on GameCube, Xbox or Xbox 360 potentially) to the original Perfect Dark had a 'really good story'.

He even hints that Rare was planning to kill the main character, Joanna Dark, off during the first part of two games. (GameCube, Industry, Perfect Dark, Xbox, Xbox 360)

Yet Microsoft screwed it up... It's a shame really... They ruined Rare. :\

What is it with developers killing main characters off

They kill them off and then when it comes to do the next installment they have hardly any ideas because they killed the lead character off.
