My vote goes to either Far Cry 3 or Borderlands 2...it's a really tough fight for shooting game this year.

I've played 'Max Payne 3, Far Cry 3 & Black Ops 2', and for me Far Cry 3 wins by FAAAAAAR.

Maybe Halo 4 or Borderlands 2 are better shooters, but i haven't played them myself.

I haven't played Farcry 3 yet (It`s my Xmas present). But my favorite shooter I've played this year (i'm not sure if it came out this year) is Payday: The Heist. I love it. It doesn't have the best graphics or shooting, but something about the game is just magical. The co-op just doesn't get old.
