EDGE - UK chancellor George Osborne today confirmed that tax relief for the nation’s videogame companies will be set at 25 per cent, introduced next year, and be “among the most generous in the world”.
Smart government. Games are already expensive enough no matter where you live. Games here at my GameStop in the US are $59.99 and after tax i'v paid around $63+
It's not a reduction for end users, but a tax break for developers. Makes the UK more attractive for start up and existing studios.
i bit late, a few studios closed down already, but hopefully the developers can be re-hired now
It is tax relief for developers not the sale of games. :)
lol.. you big dummy.
we should see some gaming companies a moving here to the UK soon enough I would think.
One of the few things this government has done that I support. Never thought I'd say this, but thanks George/Gideon Osborne.
tories are the only species that can say complete lies with a straight face
