OXM - You often hear about games taking inspiration from movies, and especially movies like Aliens, which more or less founded its own subgenre. But increasingly, that's a door that swings both ways.
I doubt it...I'm pretty sure Ridley was going to do an Alien prequel sooner or later. He was going to do Alien 5 and continue Ripleys adventures but I think, and this is going by what Sigourney Weaver said about FOX "I doubt it just because the way the industry is. While I can't speak for them, I think for Fox, once you're 60, you're not going to be starring in an action movie. I think it's too bad that that's the case" http://www.nme.com/filmandt... ...he decided to go with his prequel idea instead
@Jinkies I don't count Alien 3 as a sequel, for what they did to Newt, after all that hard work in Aliens. I hope Colonial Marines is a believable enough sequel. They could then continue the story on from there and have a different Alien 3. Resurrection wasn't that bad, but it still continued over from 3 :( Prometheus is looking to be a new trilogy, and I hope they fulfill that. Aliens was my favourite of the bunch by far though.
Resurrection was horrible. Alien3 is dark, with CGI that wasn't quite good enough, but still underrated.
Aliens all the way....Couldn't agree more!!
"I don't count Alien 3 as a sequel, for what they did to Newt, after all that hard work in Aliens." EXACTLY what I think All that work about saving and protecting Newt in Aliens...about how Ripley cared for her like a daughter since she learnt he own had died, then they kill her off in the next one, along with Hicks. I like Resuurection more then Alien 3, I think deep down most people do. If Alien 3 didn't kill Hicks or Newt off then I would of been fine with it. Alien 3 should of gotten them back to earth but Ripley finds out theres a ship coming to earth with Alien eggs on so she sets out to destroy them before it reaches earth, least then Hicks and Newt would be safe.
