You Won’t Believe How Dry Nintendo’s January Is

Last month and this month, Nintendo is busy launching the Wii U. And next month? It's busy not releasing games in Japan.

The company's January schedule, which was recently updated on December 3, is shockingly empty. Here, have a look for yourself.

actually i'm not shocked because i warned you all about this a few months ago before the Wii U released. it's a waste of money until they get serious about games for core gamers. start collecting your dust. busy with my black friday ps3 backlog.

Aliens: Colonial Marines wii u may be the best console version maybe...., the pc version will make the ps3/360/wii u versions look like psp games

LMAO, I know! I got a ton of disagrees with PROOF of what I was saying was TRUE...I did not have to say anything,the articles from GEARBOX said it all!!! If you are a gamer you like games that are outstanding, not because its Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo. If a game looks great, but is not fun, oh well.. 2: The game you mentioned, has yet to be even be announced for the single region the article was talking about.

I've still got Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower in my Wii backlog, so I think I'll survive until February. :)

I'm really looking forward to Rayman Legends though.

PS3 launched at the end of 2006 and we got games like Resistance and MotorStorm In 2007, we got Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk among many others.
In 2008 we got LBP, Resistance 2, Valkyria Chronicles, Metal Gear Solid 4... you know, I'm not gonna bother to continue.

I think he is referring to the post launch drought that happens to most consoles. Those games didn't come out monthly right after launch.

Speaking of Heavenly Sword I remember it was delayed a few time. The should it on an episode of Heroes when the game was supposed to be coming out

do people like to disagree for the point of it, you know most games do come out before Xmas (q4) and january is always a dry month for games that is a fact. the next big rush of games is spring (afew trickle out here and there) then summer holidays because games make more money during holiday seasons. no games are realy coming out on january for ps3 that I know of and if they are there not going to be blockbusters.

Droughts longer than a month long are a yearly thing.This period usually helps finish off games you had left in between.

They'll be fine. I'm sure they have their sing star, dance whatever, Nintendo land, or wii u fit to keep them busy for a while. That's all they seem to play on Nintendo consoles anyway.
