Hitman: Absolution Isn't Sexy

Ed Smith of IBTimes UK writes: "I've written already about how sound and gameplay mechanics convince Hitman players to think and act like a sociopath. Now, in this third and final part, I want to look at visuals, and how the old Hitman games used sex, fetishism and sodomy to make you hate." (Hitman: Absolution, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360)

And Hitman "fans" were complaining about killer nuns. What's there's actually very diluted compared with what we got in the past Hitman games.

Im not complaining about killer nuns.. in fact i dont know any hitman fan that complains about hte killer nuns. What most of us complain about are the fact that its now a linear peice of crap. You get step by step instructions of what to do next like your a 14 year old with no attention span. You now have xray vision like batman. lol... u now really have no reason to even bother trying to be stealthy. Hitman fans are mad because hitman was one of a kind... and they went ahead and tried to merge it with "todays demographic of whats popular" in order to try to make a quick buck. Same thing how they turned deadspace into a coop shooter, or resident evil from survival horror to an over the shoulder action shoot em up game with unlimited ammo practically.

There making games so there is no longer any thinking envolved.. just "action" and shooting.

That's my point. A lot of people who claim to be Hitman "fans" don't actually get what Hitman is about.

not really understanding your point.

I agree that the main issue with Hitman Absolution is it's casualization, but my point is that the people complaining about how killer nuns don't belong in a Hitman game are either people who's never played a Hitman game before, or people who forgot/ignored very important elements in the style of Hitman games. Sex/fetishism has always been a part of Hitman, not only that, but the way it's presented in Absolution is actually MUCH milder in comparison with older Hitman games. My comment was a response to the article, not directed towards any true Hitman fan who understood the style of Hitman games.

To hell with this new hitman game. Im a huge hitman fan, but I have already heard way too much about the changes. To hell with it. Not for me.

It's a bit more linear in some levels than in past games, but I have thoroughly enjoyed this game.

I do think that some levels could have been nixed as a lot of classic, amazing hitman levels didn't translate into this game like they did in the past games. There are a decent amount of great levels, but some I just run through to finish as fast as possible...

Makes me wish for some classic DLC maps like the clown birthday party or the meat-plant.

Im surprised this game doesn't have nudity . It should for the type of game it is to make it more authentic
