I'm happy that PS3 owners will be able to experience the best game in the whole Mass Effect series

PS3 "only" owners. But yes, it is by far my favorite in the series. Even w/ all of the small problems it has, it captures a certain feeling/vibe the other 2 didn't.

Can't wait. Have played it on the 360, but not any of the dlc, and own the rest on both.

I've never played any ME; would now be a good time to jump into the trilogy?
NYC_Gamer  +   167d ago
Yes,since the whole package can be experienced on PS3.

Having played ME1 on my PC, wayyyyy back some time ago, im really looking forward to a PS release.
My one and only gripe about ME1 was using the MAKO car. worst in-game motor ever.
Apart from that...... Lets kill some reapers lmao

I hope they the fixed the glitched achievements. I used Garrus and Wrex almost the entire time and didn't get the achievements for it.

You have to complete all the side-missions with those characters. You can't just run through the story missions and get the achievements you have to go through and do almost every side-mission from when the characters are available.

It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure I completed every last thing in the game. I didn't do everything with just Garrus and Wrex, but given that the achievement only asked that you use them for the "majority" of the game, I assumed that as long as I was using both for over half the game, it would count. I know I used those two at nearly every chance I got.

According to the wiki

Krogan Ally: Complete 45 assignments with Urdnot Wrex. Regenerate 1 HP per second (main character only).

Turian Ally: Complete 50 assignments with Garrus Vakarian. Damping and Overload recharge time improve by 10%.

Like I said, I used those two at nearly every chance I got. I don't know the exact number.

I know what "majority" means though. If what I did didn't unlock the achievements, I don't really care if it's an unintentional glitch, or Bioware just failing to properly explain the requirements of the achievement. Either way, it's a poorly done achievement.

Having played this on PC a while ago, it will be nice to go through all the games on PS3.

Its pretty much the same as the 360's achievement list, with the exception of the platinum trophy, which requires about 3 perfect playthroughs.

Congrats to the Ps3 only owners for finally being able to play this. It is MY FAVORITE out of the trilogy and I'm thinking of buying it again on my Ps3 to play without all the performance and texture loading issues that the 360 version has.
