Boy, Dead Space Sure Looks Different

Kotaku - You play both Dead Space games at a time when the world has already gone to shit. Just about everyone's dead, and the place is a mess.

But in designing the world of Dead Space, it was handy to see what things were like before the bad stuff went down, when people were breathing and working and smiling and not crawling out of air vents trying to eat you. (Dead Space, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

I love getting to see cool behind-the-scenes stuff like that; it's pretty amazing what can go into a game's development that you never consider.

The art is based on events surrounding the first dead space.

We can see the USS-Ishumura being built in one of the shots. Also that planet being mined is Aegis 7 and the guys in armor are colony miners.

If you have seen DeadSpace Downfall, then you would know that one of those miners wive was the reason the virus spread out on Ishumura.

There are also pictures of later events from Ishumura such as the people with masks on their faces, they were Unitoligists who sacrificed themselves to evolve into necromorphs. Then some shots from inside the Ishumura after the incident occurred.

I also noticed the crashed USM-Valor in one of the shots which we also go abroad on in-game.

The artwork is great overall, the DeadSpace games and movies have been really great and im expecting the same for DeadSpace 3.
