Can Lara Croft Overcome Trendy Design Cliches? | 1UP

1UP: "Crystal Dynamics' promising Tomb Raider reboot sometimes undermines its own bold intentions with out-of-place disatractions." (PC, PS3, Tomb Raider, Xbox 360)

Only reason people care about this game is cause it looks like Uncharted and is called Tomb Raider.... though why would any one care for Tomb Raider any more in this days?

In this gray blob of gaming nowadays, the writer wants this game to stand on it's two feet without the use of done-to-death game design choices of this generation. Things have gotten so bad recently that even a visit to the old school feels more refreshing than usual.

Good read. Sounds like the motif of survival is used mostly cutscenes than gameplay and the modding weapons scare me already. I wholeheartedly agree that they need to invest more in making the game standout in it's premise other than budget.
