Tomb Raider Hands-On Preview [Capsule Computers]

Zac Elawar from Capsule Computers wrote:

Having played Tomb Raider at the 2012 EB Games Expo back in October, I thought I knew what to expect when I was told I would be getting the chance to play it again. I expected maybe a one hour demo; a combination of all the previous demos we have seen at shows like E3 and Gamescom.

Technically, I was right…but the demo didn’t end there. Oh no, it kept going, and going…it turned into a 2.5 to 3 hour demo! That’s potentially a quarter of the game’s story! Read on to discover some great new details and find out my impressions of this, the most extensive look we’ve ever gotten at Tomb Raider. (PC, PS3, Tomb Raider, Xbox 360)

this game has been finished so from here till release is polish time, could be a huge blockbuster title of 2013

Exactly, that's what I was told before I played it. There were little things missing like images for some of the relics.

Regenerating health = No longer interested enough to buy it day one
koga88  +   652d ago
Regenerating Health may make for an easier game but it also means that just as many people will be able to enjoy the title. Sure there are a few people such as yourself which obviously "hate" regenerating HP but the vast majority of gamers appreciate that aspect and it is how gaming is now. Not buying a game just because the survival aspects are lower is a pretty ridiculous reason given the fact that everything else looks absolutely amazing.

Can't wait to buy! Even if regenerating health takes away from the survival aspect, I'm still not going to let it hinder an otherwise superb adventure game with a deep story and amazing graphics!

Nice to see such a decently long preview than the hour or less other games give.

Some pretty good and new details about the game, no regen health is good makes it more realistic you know as the game is all about survival

Awesome preview of a game I'm really interested in! It was really in-depth and contained exactly what I wanted to hear.
