GameStop announced that they would stop trading and selling old PlayStation 1 games as of June 2006. Out with the old, in with the “not-new?” I began to fear that these games would be lost forever and that I had a very short amount of time to play them.
However I still play my ps1 games on my ps3 and if that doesnt work will play it on my ps2.

You can say PlayStation murdered my social life in High School, and do NOT regret one minute of it.
One big thing that is missing from this generation is variety. Due to the amount of investment required for games these days, it's understandable that originality has to be left at the door to satiate the corporates and to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

Used to be a Sega Mega Drive loyalist back then. Got me a Saturn first as a follow up to my 16-bit system. I shunned the new kids on the block Sony PlayStation. But when Saturn went slow in games being a true gamer I am was hungry for more games.
And then I decided to give my cousin's PSOne a try and I was blown away by Castlevania Symphony of the Night and Final Fantasy Tactics.
It was a radical departure from the SNES & Mega Drive.
The games were deep and long to my amazement. The 3D graphics were smoother than Saturn's.
So many memories of gaming goodness.
i finished Resident Evil a couple of times in one sitting with out saving on a memory card...those were the days!

To hell with that rip-off known as xbox (and currently, I find the Wii U underwhelming). Sony and (sometimes) Nintendo, for life!
