I see Metal Gear somewhere in my top 3 franchises of all time (if not #1) and LOVE stealth but I also dig Platinum Games so despite the conflicts some are having like me I still have high hopes for it.

On PS3. Where's your PS3?
nukeitall  +   967d ago
I have two PS3s, but neither of them with me. I'm stationed overseas and only took the console I use the most frequent with me.

Doesn't matter, Xbox 360 owners got no demo!

Will be awesome. Just don't look at it as a MG title. More like a hack and slash title with a solid story.

its platinum games do you REALLY think they know anything about storytelling ?
yami930  +   968d ago
Thats why they are not doing the storytelling, Kojima Productions is. They are in charge of the story, they are writing the script, the codec dialouges, and are partly in charge of cutscenes.

Where have you been? Kojima Productions are handling the storytelling and platinum the gameplay. The only input that PG had on story was the setting after MGS4. And even that is understandable, because if they wanted to create some crazy enemy, is easier to create after MSG4 and not be limited to the mgs2 and mgs4 time window. Such example can be given with that Ray with sword arms.

Demo is super fun. Don't listen to naysayers. There is a dodge (contrary to what some people have said.) There are two dodges actually, one offensive dodge where you swing the katana as you jump back which is handy for swatting grenades away.

There is a great parry system and even though the move set seems limited at first, there is already a ton of different cool stuff you can do that you wouldn't expect. Once blade mode clicks in your head it is novel and feels natural. I've been playing video games for a long time and I never imagined there would be anything like what we have now. This game is so fun.

I don't get the hate for this game. How is playing as a cyborg ninja not one of the greatest things ever? Oh, and it has a lock on unlike some other action games that limit your options by having the game decide who you should be dealing with.

Who would think that's better?

There's so much in that demo to try combat-wise I haven't even touched ZOE HD yet. I mainly got the collection for ZOE HD, but I didn't expect the demo would be so fun.

I played through it several times myself. I'm preordering it ASAP. I haven't had that much fun with a demo in years.

The tightest most fluid hack n slash to date is Bayonetta. So if you're going to make a Metal Gear Solid hack n slash game, Platinum games is the only choice. I can't wait.
