343's crazy Halo 4 custom gametype: Binary Slayer

Messed up gravity, unlimited thruster packs, and Binary riffles make this the craziest Halo 4 you've ever seen (343 Industries, Halo 4, IGN, Xbox 360)

they should put this in matchmaking. I miss action sack. Something like that should come back.

And where's grifball?
SixZeroFour  +   164d ago
much like halo reach's playlist, halo 4s playlist is still in its infancy, there is still a lot of time to add map packs, community maps/ gametypes, grifball etc
aviator189  +   164d ago
That's true. Hopefully, something like action sack makes a comeback just for kick-back relaxing games.

The whole "it's in it's infancy" might have sounded good back in Halo Reach, but remind me, how did that game turn out again?

@aiBreeze

are we talking about gameplay or the maps/gametypes? two completely seperate issues

Its almost like when young children first saw custom games in Halo 3 and made a game type with 300% speed, Low Gravity, Primary weapons Grav Hammer and Secondary weapon Spartan Laser.

If 343 made this and think of it as a valid, creative game-type, then I will have lost what little faith in them I had left following the way they destroyed custom games and the social aspect of Forge.

Geeze, I bet you're a riot at parties...

It's a stupid fun playlist, why rain on other peoples parades.

Are you for freakin real?? they haven't enabled file-sharing yet, which is unfortunate, but they haven't destroyed custom games.

It's a very well balanced and interesting playlist, just because the speed it higher doesn't make it "childish". And this is just a playlist the employees made in the office for each other, the only reason they're showing it is because it turned out to be really fun.

Nowhere did they call it a "valid, creative gameytpe" although i would say it is. Who is to decide what's valid when it's all custom made.

"but they haven't destroyed custom games."

They replaced Infection with a very limited version called flood, removed assault, didn't add in any sort of options for 1 flag or even the classic capture the flag settings. Still no VIP and Race game-types are all but impossible now. So yes I stand by my statement that they ruined custom games.
spicelicka  +   163d ago
perhaps, i agree they haven't given us what we wanted, but i assume you can still create those gametypes yourself??

Either way, doesn't change the fact that this mode looks pretty awesome.

They need custom games browser.
spicelicka  +   163d ago
yeaa i don't understand this because custom games are one of the most important features of halo, and they're never exploited properly, or advertised, or promoted, or considered by reviewers.

Sounds ridiculously fun. Also waiting on the MLG playlist.
