GameZone writes, "While this is purely my opinion, I feel the need to point out the fact that I feel that the cover art for BioShock Infinite is just mediocre. The heroic pose of Booker DeWitt instantly reminds me of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune cover art or even any moment depcting Ash Williams from Army of Darkness. With a project as amazingly awesome and awe inspiring as BioShock Infinite, it comes down to me just wanting something more original and something I shouldn’t be able to compare to anything within the first five seconds of looking at it."
Nonsense!
And in my opinion the company didn't do anything wrong. I saw the cover and thought nothing of it. I was more excited that this gem was coming soon.
Could the art be approved upon? Sure, but what box art couldn't be approved upon after the fact.
Every one of them can.
You want to talk bad cover art:

Yea, let's talk bad covers now! HA!
We're talking about a company who should be caring about the substance of the entire package they're releasing. With a series like BioShock, most people expected better than a generic 'hero with gun looking deep in thought' look that has become almost a running joke.
I'm just shocked that Elizabeth isn't on the front of this and neither is the Songbird. As someone who appreciates fine art, they could've done so much more. Something less generic and something that represents the game a little better than a man with a gun who's visage you won't even see for the entire game. And I know Gordon is on the cover of Half-Life 2, but that's simply because he is iconic and it's neither generic nor distasteful.
End of the world. If the game turns out well nobody is not going to buy it just because of box art. People really are idiots.
