Why is Bethesda not directly addressing Skyrim add-ons Dawnguard and Hearthfire for PS3?

XMNR: Bethesda Softworks announced Monday that the Playstation 3 would finally receive its first bit of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim DLC in the form of Dragonborn next month. However, studio representatives are studiously avoiding directly commenting on the Dawnguard and Hearthfire add-ons that are already out for the Xbox 360 and PC. Why? (PS3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim)

I would think that they don't really care at this point. Why anyone who owns a Ps3 should care at this point is laughable. They sold a broken game, that's why. I would say it'll go down as one of the biggest blunders in gaming history. What's worse than not playing Skyrim? -- playing Skyrim half-way through and not being able to finish it. Hmm... why won't they talk about it?...

Way to go on the rhetorics n4g...

I doubt anybody will remember this as "one of the biggest blunders in gaming history". It's got nothing on RRoD.

Everything you say is spot on, but still I feel like Bethesda received a free pass for this and the fallouts. These games received great reviews despite being broken. Almost any other game released with the same glaring issues would be slammed by he media. Why the free pass for Bethesda?

The game itself was fantastic even on the PS3, but yeah I did hate the fact that I had to quit the game when the game started lagging for what ever the reason was. But I played the shite out of that game regardless. But I would not hold onto it as I waited for the DLC.

1 year later and I couldn't care less for the DLC...if it is free yeh, but expecting us to pay for what is essentially old DLC is a joke, especially when they can't code PS3 efficiently....

Far Cry 3's engine pisses all over Skyrim' in terms of draw distance and has a better frame rate, with far fewer bugs.

So what if Skyrim is more complicated, don't attempt complicated if you can't deliver Bitchfesda!!!

Because Bethesda are a poor excuse for a games development company, whose fan boys give them far more praise for there mediocrity that they have ever deserved.

I bought skyrim on ps3 and thoroughly enjoyed it and was looking forward to the dlc even though its had so many issues, the most i have ever witnessed in game... if it was small time developer they would of been crucified in the reviews etc

Eventually however with the dlc fiasco i traded it in and have no reason to buy it back when they do eventually release the dlc and now in future i wont buy a bethesda game until a collectors edition is out and i have gamers reviews

I own the game on the Ps3, but I kind of feel thankful for the first load of DLC being kind of meh. I don't feel like I'm missing out.

Dragonborn though... I hope they find a way to get it to the Ps3.
