World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Review | Capsule Computers

"World of Warcraft is undeniably the most popular MMORPG of all time. I was going to open with the longest running, but I’m pretty sure that there’re some others out there, like EQ or UO still running and taking that title. Regardless, there is no denying that if you’re a gamer, you’ve definitely heard of this behemoth and have an opinion on it; even if you haven’t actually played it." - Capsule Computers (PC, World of Warcraft) 6/10

The game is doing well, regardless of the review. It has 10 million subs again (like in WOTLK). I am enjoying it.

I'm not surprised given how old and outdated the gameplay mechanics are. There are still a ton of people playing this though which is proof of the strength of Blizzards brand.

The author does have a point, WoW has gotten easier and easier with each successive expansion (I could list examples, but it's been done before and is an insanely long list). To compensate Blizzard have had to throw in other stuff to keep you playing, the worst being now you must grind rep for at least a month to become revered with the golden lotus before you are allowed to spend your valor points on raid gear!

I'm a huge fan of Blizzard, I've been playing WoW since release because it is a good game. But I guess with MoP I finally got to see what millions before me saw and I canceled my subscription a couple of days ago.

Probably around what I would give it, I levelled my rogue and hunter to 90. Pandaria is a awesome looking zone but the amount of repetitive dailies to advance became a chore, and the looking for raid loot system was also a step backwards imo.
